Mid-November Update

As things continue to pick up, be sure to stay in the loop with all the new information for QCVA. From new gear to a new scholarship program, there are plenty of things you might have missed!

New Gear in the Shop

We came out with some new QCVA swag! From casual gear to practice / competition gear, there are plenty of new options to check out in the shop. Starting Black Friday and running through December, if you buy two qualifying new items, you can get 50% off a third item (just let Coach Dangel know to receive the discount coupon). We will also be offering a "Practice Ready" set that will consist of a practice tee, a practice long sleeve, a pair of joggers, and a lightweight hoodie all for $125 (MSRP $160).

New Waivers for 2024

The new waiver for 2024 is live on the website. We have revamped the waiver so that it can be filled out online or on mobile. You can fill out the waiver for 2024 now by setting the effective date to January 1, 2024. This waiver will be required for participation in practice and meets, and we will turn athletes away if we do not have a current waiver on file for 2024. If an athlete is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will need to fill it out for them. Please fill them out asap so we don't run into any issues!

Reno Pole Vault Summit

We are excited to announce that this year we will be traveling out to Reno, NV for the National Pole Vault Summit. This is the largest pole vault event in the world, consisting of clinics, elite athlete speakers, and competitions. Athletes are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and meet registration. Coach Dangel will be transporting the poles. Meet registration can be paid on the meet website and prices range from $130-150. There is also a $50 coaches fee that goes towards transporting of the poles that can be paid in person at QCVA or through Venmo. There is a forum on the app that will be updated as more information comes out.

Annual Membership NEW

Beginning January 1st, all active athletes will need an annual membership to participate in practice as well as to rent poles on a meet by meet or month by month basis. The Annual Membership Fee is $100. Annual Membership status lowers the cost of any 3-month pole rental by $5. Membership dues can be paid prior to January 1st and still cover the full 2024 year. Dues can be paid online through the website, by venmo, or in person at QCVA.

2023 QCVA Intrasquad Meet

Our 3rd annual Intrasquad meet will take place December 9th. This year registration for the meet will be on our website/ app and we will stop accepting competitors the Sunday before. This will allow us to create 2 to 3 teams that will compete for a team title. Creating teams will allow us to stimulate a larger competition that we typically don't get to see (outside of club prom), and hopefully allow athletes to make new bonds with other club members they might not have met. Athletes will have the week leading up to the competition to meet their fellow teammates at practice (and to stir up friendly competitive banter...).

The St. Francis Scholarship

We are extremely excited and proud to announce that we will be giving out scholarships to help athletes who might find it difficult to cover the cost of practices. We will be giving out two full scholarships and two partial scholarships. There is a new page on the website dedicated to this program, so swing over to the website to learn more. If you believe you, or someone you know, is deserving of one of the scholarships, you can nominate yourself / them online.
